September Orange County Trip

Christine, Ellsie, and I were able to take a week and a half trip back to California in September. I had to be out there for work so I took the girls out and extended the trip. As always it was a busy and fun couple weeks. Spent time with family and friends, Ellsie got to go in the pool for the first time and had a great time with all her visitors. Just wanted to share some pictures with you all, it seems like each week something new is happening. Just enjoying each step!

E's first time in the pool! She loved it! G-ma heated up the water for her so it wasn't too cold. This girls gonna be a swimmer.

She is starting to stand up by herself, even if it's for a couple seconds. We try and have a spotter behind her but she's taken a few tumbles trying to figure it all out. Still has no interest in trying to crawl - she's happiest standing and just recently sitting up.

Rocking like an old lady! G-Ma bought a rocking chair for the baby room - there were so many toys for her there we felt guilty taking her back home to boring old mom and dad's house.

Pumpkin Patch and Oktoberfest in Castle Rock, CO

Me and Ellsie had a father daughter day this last weekend and went to a pumpkin patch just outside of town. It was a little cold so we didn't stay too long but got some great pictures!

After the pumpkin patch Christine met up with us in Castle Rock for Oktoberfest with a bunch of friends. Great day - Ellsie got to listen to some good music and get passed around for some lovin! She's a champ, enjoyed every second.

Had to include this video of E and Tim and Jenni's dog Murphy. She was cracking up for like 15 minutes. This girl loves dogs..good thing!

Cannon Beach

We could not have picked a better week to spend in Oregon's beautiful Cannon Beach. Portland was experiencing a record breaking heat wave, giving us perfect temperatures on the coast. We spend 5 wonderful days at the beach with the ENTIRE Bury clan! Ellsie was constantly entertained by her older cousins who took every chance to hold her and play with her.

The kids had so much fun playing in the sand and water. They literally could run around sand, rocks and water for hours! The boy's would come back to the house covered head to toe in sand.

One afternoon we went to Main Street for dinner. Brandon, Silas, and Ryan were so cute holding hands walking across the street. The boy's are all withing a few years of each other and they play so well together.

Getting ready for pizza. Once again Ellsie was decked out in one of her oh so cute outfits. This pizza parlor was so busy. I guess AC isn't a must in Oregon, however it would have been nice this week. We were so hot sitting in the back of this restaurant... the pizza was worth it.

No beach trip is complete without a bon-fire and smores! Sommer and I are obsessed with roasting marshmallows for smores and we pride ourselves on make the perfect golden brown marshmallows.

Grammy and Pops bought the kids matching outfits for a beach photo shoot. It was almost impossible to get the kids to sit in one place let alone look at the camera all at once but they did so good.

Aunt Christine bought very age appropriate gifts for the boy's. I thought I was getting soft shooting nerf guns but these things shoot like CRAZY! Uncle Chris and Jordy had to regulate:)

Abby was always there to take care of baby Ellsie. She is such the care giver to all the younger kids. Abby read books to Ellsie and helped her with her cheers... "The roof. The roof. The roof is on fire. We don't need no water let it rise rise HIGHER!"
