I was just telling my neighbor the other day that SUMMER IS JUST SO BUSY! But then I stopped to think about the rest of my year I realized that I think life with young kids is just always busy. Not just in the summer. But we have had a wonderful summer full of vacations, beach days, pool days and visitors.
In July the entire Bury clan (all 15 of us) flew to Oregon and stayed in a beautiful home in Mount Hood. It was such a great week and the property we stayed at was incredible. The backyard had a big porch and backed up to a creek, then the yard wrapped around to more lush greenery and a fire pit and off of the garage there was a game room outfitted with a fuze table, pool table and air hockey table! This house certainly had enough things to keep us busy.
While we were there we celebrated Ryan's 5th birthday by hitting up the Alpine slides. THIS WAS SO FUN! Ellsie was just beside herself riding on the chair lift up. She thought it was "AMAZING." I wondered if the slide would scare her a bit but she thought it was great. Everyone loved this part of the trip...well minus Nixon. He was so sad that he couldn't go. Do to an age limit our sweet guy had to sit this one out.
One afternoon I caught these two little stinkers in bed together with their "Chupi/Pie." They were so STINKING cute hiding under the covers together. Ellsie and Jewel are about as opposite as two individuals can be however they both seem to have very passionate personalities. And by passion I mean they both really know what they want and are both both very determined to make it happen;)
No family vacation would be complete with out S'MORES! Almost every night the boys made a camp fire. I enjoyed every minute sitting by the fire with my wine and (multiple) s'mores.
This week was filled with hiking, shooting, playing, fishing, EATING, verse learning, exploring, picture posing, s'more making, good conversation and a whole lot more.

LOUIZA'S VISIT
My cousin Louiza came from Michigan and stayed with us for about a week. It was so much fun. Our first outing was to Sea World. We went on Chris's birthday and the kids just loved it!
And of course what would a trip to Cali be without visiting the beach?
While I am sure my cousin had a great time hanging with family, trying out her first banzai bowl, hiking with Aunt Carolyn, baking cookies, being woken up at 6:30, shopping and getting her fill of sushi... it was really the trip to DISNEYLAND that she was most excited about:)
We ditched the kids for the day and stayed at Dland until 11:30! We all got in for free and to top it off we had some very special passes that took us to the front of the lines. We felt like MOVIE STARS!!! It was such a fun week with her around. I'm missing her terribly:( We still have more FUN summer plans ahead of us so stay tuned...
